Several years ago, Greg Parham, real estate attorney and founder of Vista Title Company in Colorado, began meeting with small groups of real estate investors to help them structure their more complex deals. These informal gatherings quickly evolved into monthly meetings where Greg taught investors the details involved in closing unique investor transactions, such as subject to sales, wrap around deeds of trust, foreclosure redemptions, etc. The trainings are designed to compliment the valuable education that investors have already obtained from experience, books, or formal investment seminars. Greg explains:
My primary goal with each Investor Advantage training is to bridge the gap between the techniques and concepts that investors learn in comprehensive investing seminars and boot camps with the practical knowledge necessary to actually close their deals. Many of the creative deal structures that investors learn from various seminars and classes are extremely useful, but the investor needs to know the actual mechanics necessary for the title company to close the transaction. I want investors to know what must be done to set up their transactions correctly for a smooth and successful closing. Without the closing, they don’t get paid.
